My photograph this month is of the garden in front of The Bothy at Pooh Hall.

We have enjoyed some lovely sunshine and even had our first lunch of the year in the garden. Guests at Pooh Hall have been seen eating breakfast outdoors and spending time with their feet up reading a book in the afternoon sun as a just reward for a good walk in the morning!! Let us hope that this is the start of a sunny summer.

On the subject of gardens ours is open as part of the Clun Gardens Open on the 24th and 25th of June. There are 18 gardens in total ( we only open on Sunday) and together we help to raise much needed funds for the upkeep of St George’s Church. There are plant stalls, afternoon teas and an expert on hand for gardening queries. This is our third year of opening and our private garden has really changed , large piles of earth and rubble replaced with green lawns and although there is still much to do we are really making inroads.

My photograph this month is of the border outside The Bothy window, the plants are putting on a great display at the moment. This is always a favourite time of year as the colour in the garden is vibrant and the plants are exuberant! Quite a bit of work trying to keep them in check but lovely all the same.

I have one late availability at a discounted rate of £350 in The Bothy our 4 Star cottage. This cottage has lovely views across the Clun valley and is ideally placed for walking, sightseeing or just a quiet restful break.
