As we sit and enjoy the sunny weather the farmers are busily gathering in the harvest before the next shower. The photograph was taken from The Bothy terrace by Cameron White whilst he was here a couple of weeks ago. It is a lovely photograph and shows a local farmer working in his fields. How lucky we are to be able to enjoy this view!

Things past and things to do……………

The Gardens Open and the Clun Carnival are now over ( both having raised much needed funds for local causes) and we are looking further afield for our entertainment . Ludlow Food Festival is coming soon (see below) and Bridgnorth and Telford have their own food festivals. Bridgnorth on the 27th August and Telford on the 2nd/3rd September . Other interesting events are being held in Shropshire. At the British Ironworks Centre near Oswestry there is a balloon festival being held on the weekend of the 26th-28th August. The venue is interesting in itself being the “home” of the Knife Angel and the Spoon Gorilla. A great deal of fun should be on offer at the Shrewsbury Quarry park when the River festival is being held on the 10th September featuring raft and coracle races!

And just a thought…………

If all that makes you feel tired well why not just sit outside your cottage with a cup of tea ( glass of wine?) and relax. The view is great, from all the cottages , and the peace and quiet is just the thing to help you unwind. Join us in “Shropshire Time”!
